On this page we will feature EVP's, or electronic voice phenomena. EVP's are typically captured on a digital recorder, but they can also be picked up on video cameras and old style cassette recorders. EVP's are thought to be the way that the spirit world tries to communicate with the living. They are often heard as whispers, but some researchers have caught louder voices as well as bangs and random noises that cannot be explained. Before we classify a recording as an EVP, we try to "debunk" the noise to make sure it isn't something that was captured from the environment. Common noises mistaken for EVP's can be other team members whispering to each other, clothing rustling, or even an air conditioner or heating system switching on. It is important to take note of your environment, team members present, outside weather conditions and more when doing a recording. In this manner if something is heard, it can be definitively classified as an EVP.
